Democracy is Incapable of Ensuring Justice for All Citizens
Since 22nd August 2016, when a leader of a Karachi-based political party raised anti-Pakistan slogans and asked his followers to attack media offices, Pakistan has been gripped in a debate over political expression and its tolerated limits. Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Pakistan condemns these despicable acts and draws attention to the fact that accounting rulers on their oppression is an Islamic duty, but this Islamic duty is performed according to the method of the Messenger of Allah (saaw) which is confined to political and intellectual struggle on the basis of Islam.
Pakistan was created in the name of Islam, which is itself the guarantor of justice for the citizens of the state. However, after the establishment of Pakistan, traitors in the political and military leadership continued with the same Kufr colonialist system left by British Raj. It is this man-made system that resulted in rampant discrimination and neglect, particularly of ethnic and linguistic minorities. Inevitably, dissenting voices started to emerge from various parts of the country. It was this neglectful Kufr democratic system that incited dissent in the Muslims of East Pakistan against the Muslims of West Pakistan. Eventually India and the international colonialist states exploited the Fitna to divide Pakistan into two in 1971, splitting off Bangladesh. Yet, the political and military elite of Pakistan did not take heed from this catastrophe and instead of implementing Islam, encouraged the establishment of political parties based on ethnic and linguistic grounds in order to maintain their grip on power, dividing the Muslims so they indulge themselves in the pursuit of petty personal interests, instead of demanding the implementation of Islam.
Whilst protesting against oppression, political parties must target this Kufr democratic, capitalist system and the traitors in the political and military leadership, instead of maligning Pakistan, a Muslim land with a brave and noble Muslim people. Indeed, oppression is because of the capitalist democratic system and traitors in the political and military leadership who implement this system.
The Islamic State, the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood, implements Islam comprehensively in every field of life. By doing so, the rights of every individual of the state are protected. In an Islamic State, political parties are based on the Islamic constitution and they account the Khaleefah on the basis of Islam. Under the Khilafah on the Method of the Prophethood, no political party can be established on the basis of ethnicity or language, because Islam forbids discrimination on the basis of language and race. All political parties in the state account the Khaleefah on the basis of Islam, ensuring that he is implementing Islam, striking at the root of discrimination. Therefore Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Pakistan calls upon the Muslims of Pakistan to reject all those parties whose politics is established on the basis of democracy, ethnicity and language, instead of Islam. And Hizb ut Tahrir calls upon the Muslims to participate in the political and intellectual struggle for the establishment of the Khilafah on the Method of Prophethood for the implementation of Islam. History has proved that whenever Muslims abandon the rope of Allah, Islam, and raise the banners of ethnicity or language instead, Fitna, destruction and humiliation is the result. However, when Muslims grasp the rope of Allah firmly, peace, prosperity and harmony prevails over Muslims.
وَاعْتَصِمُواْ بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعاً وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواْ وَاذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُم أَعْدَآءً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَاناً وَكُنتُمْ عَلَى شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُمْ مِّنْهَا كَذلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَـتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
“Hold fast, all of you, to the cord of Allah, and be not divided. Remember the blessing of Allah upon you: When you were enemies to each other, and He brought your hearts together, so that, you became brothers through His blessing. You were at the brink of a pit of Fire, then He saved you from it. This is how Allah makes His signs clear to you, so that you may be guided.” [Surah Aali-Imran 3: 103]
