Hizb ut Tahrir Strongly Condemns the Arrest of its Member and Demands his Immediate Release from the Secret Dungeon of the Police
On Thursday 18th February 2016, a brave member of Hizb ut Tahrir, Mohammad Sohel Rana (age 29) has been arrested by half a dozen plain clothed officers of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) from his office during the noon hour. More than 24 hours have passed and he has yet to be produced before the court. And when his mother visited PBI’s Kallyanpur station to meet her son, the officers on duty disdainfully told her not to come to the police station anymore as they planned to keep him in their custody for a lengthy period of time. This does not surprise us anymore that the existing law, which keeps no provision for keeping any detainee under police custody for more than 24 hours, does not apply on the truthful members and activists of Hizb ut Tahrir under this tyrannical regime which is undertaking an all-out War against Islam and Muslims.
Hizb ut Tahrir strongly condemns this cowardly arrest and torture of its member. The continuation of such lowly and repressive acts of state terrorism is doomed to fail before the commitment of the activists of Hizb ut Tahrir in their unswerving mission to re-establish the second righteous Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood. These persecutions will only strengthen our belief and would make us more reliant on Allah subhanahu wa ta’alaa and His promised victory.
إِنْ يَنْصُرْكُمُ اللَّهُ فَلَا غَالِبَ لَكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَنْصُرُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ۗ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
“If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; and if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you? And in Allah (Alone) let the believers put their trust”. [Surah Ali-Imran: 160]
