In regards to the Hideous Crime Committed against the Child Yaseen

Following the hideous crime committed against the child Yaseen Ali on the morning of 17/05/2016, we in the Women’s Section in the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Tunisia:

1 – Share our feelings of sorrow, grief and pain with the family of the child victim in general and with his mother in particular and we pass our condolences to the entire Islamic Ummah for what they have clearly been afflicted with manifested in the shedding of the pure blood of this Muslim child.

2 – Condemn the educational, child raising and societal policies implemented under the patronage of the secular systems which strive to cut the Ummah off from its Islam. The result of which has been the great number of cases of murder and the multiplicity of crimes and that is because there is no well-being for humanity except by the Hukm of Allah. Allah Ta’Aalaa said:

أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ

“Then is it the judgement of (the time of) ignorance they desire? But who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who are certain [in faith]” [Al-Maa’idah: 50].

3 – Remind that the ugliness of the crimes that are accumulating day after day are due to the secular man-made legislative system that follows a failed punishment and deterrence policy basing its ruling upon the laws of the western disbelieving states which even consider the punishment of the execution to be a form of barbarity and that the murderer is imprisoned extending mercy to him! That is whilst they have not been merciful upon the one murdered who has lost his life and they don’t show mercy to his family nor do they show mercy to humanity that has become fearful from the criminals in respect to their blood (lives), honours and properties.

The man-made secular laws including imprisonment amongst others even including execution do not fulfil and realise the function in respect to deterring the criminal in particular and the society in general due to them not being just, not being suitable for the seriousness of the crime and what the victim suffered and the pain that befell the victim, the victim’s family and society at large. The solution is to pass a just and fitting punishment upon the perpetrator of the crime which from its nature brings him pain in according to the level of the ugliness of the crime, just as the solution is within Islam.

4 – Remind that the application of Islam in life is an obligation and that this includes the punishment system that emanates from it.

5 – Call all of the Muslims to work with us in Hizb ut Tahrir for the resumption of the Islamic life via the establishment of the rightly guided Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the methodology of the Prophethood, in which lies our salvation.
