2 Tahrir men held while distributing leaflets

Two suspected activists of the banned Islamist outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir Bangladesh were picked up while distributing party leaflets at two mosques in the capital on Friday.

Raihan Sharif, 22, was detained from the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque as he was distributing leaflets of the outfit, said Sergeant Moshiur Rahman.

The leaflets were being handed out to the people coming out of the mosque after Juma prayers. The leaflets contained inflammatory contents about the current government.

Meanwhile, people coming out of Gulshan Azad Mosque after the Juma prayers caught Anisur Rahman, 26, and handed him over to Gulshan Police Station.
