Concluding Statement of the Seminar “Women and the Looted Wealth”
Held by the Women’s Section in the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Tunisia

At this crucial historical point of the Ummah’s revolution, a major lie was exposed: that there was little wealth and the possibility to enjoy it is limited. Consequently people mobilized to continue their political struggle, demanding their right to the hijacked and looted wealth asserting that the state, as it is today, did not and will not undertake its duty to protect them and take care of their affairs. Therefore we like to point out the following:

1. What we hear from condemnation of the search for wealth considering it as nonsense and describing it as a conspiracy against the state, is in fact the real conspiracy.  The silence of the official bodies over the loss of wealth is participation in the oppression  of the people. So we call upon the sincere and honourable in this good country to side with their Ummah; the loss of an inch of what is on the surface of the earth is no different from what is lost from underneath it.
2. The State has to be a guardian and protector of the country’s wealth not to simply be a protector of the foreign looters. Rather the resources are public ownership; individuals nor companies can monopolize or own it, nor should the state forsake it, it should only manage it for the benefit of the people in accordance with the Shariah rules and under the supervision of the judiciary and the Ummah Council in the Righteous Khilafah State on the method of Prophethood.
3. Women are part of this Ummah, though the state duty to meet man’s needs are only at his inability, but women’s inability is not a condition for the state to meet their necessary and luxury basic requirements. It is a crime that women are left to go hungry and bare under the pretext of their ignorance or their presence in remote areas or their illiteracy depriving them from the wealth that Allah (swt) gave them a right in, as in the saying of the Prophet (saw):

«الناس شركاء في ثلاث الماء والكلأ والنار»
“People are partners in three water, pasture, and fire” (Narrated by Ibn Majah)

Hizb ut Tahrir is a leader that does not lie to its people, Allah willing, it is the pioneer in raising the issue of resources in the political, media, and local community centers, exposing the colonial plans revealing the betrayals of the agents. Its men and women will not be silent, with the help of Allah Almighty (swt), and together with the sincere people of this country, it will not compromise on an interest or violated right, where even their threats will not deter it from the duty nor crush its resolve.

وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ
“But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.” [Al-Anfal: 30]
