HTI stages anti-Israel rally outside US embassy
The protesters carried banners bearing a text reading “Save Palestine with Khilafah”.
They regarded the US as a super power which had so far protected Israel so that the Jewish state had became ‘untouchable` by international laws.
HTI believes that one of the solutions to deal with the Israeli aggression against Palestine is by establishing khilafah (Islamic state).
Meanwhile, in Mataram (West Nusa Tenggara), on Tuesday, hundreds of people grouped in the Alliance of Humanitarian Solidarity for Palestine, protested against the Israeli attacks which had killed more than 300 Palestinians and injured over 1,000 others since Saturday (Dec. 27, 2008).
They also regretted that the United Nations (UN) had been so far just a “puppet” of the United States of America, and incapable of stopping the crimes committed by Israel.
In Jakarta, last Monday, Indonesia`s Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) said that it would send a medical team and medicines to help Palestinians injured in the Israeli attacks.
The MER-C Indonesia team consisting of two doctors and one paramedic, would enter Gaza Strip through Egypt, according to dr Jose Rizal, the director of MER-C. (*)
