Kuziboev Sulton, another Martyr in the Prison of Tyrant Rahmon

– though we do not ascribe purity to anyone before Allah –

“Among the believers there are men who have been true to the contract they made with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pact by death and some are still waiting to do so, not having changed in any way at all” [33:23]

Recently, another member of Hizb ut Tahrir – Kuziboev Sulton, may Allah have mercy on him, died in Rahmon’s prison, Tajikistan’s tyrant. Sulton spent about 18 years out of his 47 years in high security prisons, because of his diligent work for the reestablishment of the Islamic way of life in the ranks of Hizb ut Tahrir.

Kuziboev Sulton, Rahmahu Allah, was born in 1971, a father of four children, had attained two higher education degrees (in prison, prisoners called him the “walking encyclopedia”). He joined the Hizb and began to spread the Islamic dawah call in 1999, and actually on January 15, 2000, he was detained by tyrant Rahmon’s special services and subjected to severe torture, after which he was placed in high security prison Colony 3/7. In prison, Sulton became ill, after which developed into a serious bone disease in his legs, he had surgery and then limped until his death.

In 2004, Sulton was released after the conclusion of his sentence and immediately continued his activities to spread the Islamic call in Tajikistan, for which he was again detained in 2005. This time he was sentenced to a long term imprisonment, placed in one of the most severe prisons in Tajikistan – Colony 3/3 (better known as the “brick zone” for forced labor of prisoners in the production of bricks). There prisoners are inspected six times, and all members of Hizb ut Tahrir are automatically given the status of “escape prone”. In this colony, Sulton contracted tuberculosis. During Sulton’s term at the time of his stay in the prison hospital, an employee of President Rahmon’s office promised to release him immediately under one condition: Sulton must promise to leave the Islamic call. Our brother refused to give such a promise, because of that he remained in the Colony while suffering from disease for many years where, despite everything, he continued the call despite the circumstances did not leave it for a single day until he died (Rahimahu Allah).

We in the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir offer our deep condolences to the family of our brother Sulton, Rahimahu Allah. We ask Allah Subhanahu wa Taala to give his family the steadfastness, patience and fortitude. We ask Allah Almighty to accept Sulton as a martyr and we do not commend anyone before Allah. We pray to Allah Al-Aziz Al-Jabbar to destroy tyrant Rahmon and his regime, and all his henchmen and collaborators, may He hasten the release of all the imprisoned Muslims and the establishment of the Imam of the Ummah – the shield behind whom you fight and protect yourself. Truly this is easy for Allah Subhanahu wa Taala!
