Delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Sudan in Qadarif

Meets the General Administrator of Ash-Shukriyah

Due to events taking place in the city of Qadarif in eastern Sudan, as a result of the Government, which does not function in respect to taking care of the people’s affairs, stirring tribalistic pride which led to an escalation between the two tribes Ash-Shukriyah and Al-Bawaadirah, against the backdrop, a delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Sudan in the city of Qadarif undertook a visit to Sheikh ‘Awad Al-Kareem Hamd Abu Sin, the General Administrator of Ash-Shukriyah at his home in the city of Qadarif. The delegation consisted of the brothers: Muntasir Karaar, Muhammad Al-Hasan Ahmad, Muhammad Mukhtaar and Nasr ud Deen Al-Hajj.

The delegation made clear that the purpose of the visit was to be sincere with one another under the consideration that the Hizb adopts the issues of the Ummah upon the basis of Islam, orders the Ma’roof and forbids the Munkar in compliance to the command of the Prophet (saw):

مَثَلُ الْقَائِمِ عَلَى حُدُودِ اللَّهِ وَالْوَاقِعِ فِيهَا كَمَثَلِ قَوْمٍ اسْتَهَمُوا عَلَى سَفِينَةٍ، فَأَصَابَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَعْلاَهَا وَبَعْضُهُمْ أَسْفَلَهَا، فَكَانَ الَّذِينَ فِى أَسْفَلِهَا إِذَا اسْتَقَوْا مِنَ الْمَاءِ مَرُّوا عَلَى مَنْ فَوْقَهُمْ فَقَالُوا لَوْ أَنَّا خَرَقْنَا فِى نَصِيبِنَا خَرْقًا، وَلَمْ نُؤْذِ مَنْ فَوْقَنَا. فَإِنْ يَتْرُكُوهُمْ وَمَا أَرَادُوا هَلَكُوا جَمِيعًا، وَإِنْ أَخَذُوا عَلَى أَيْدِيهِمْ نَجَوْا وَنَجَوْا جَمِيعًا

“The example of those who maintain Allah’s limits (hudood) and those who surpass them is like the example of those who share a boat. Some would occupy its upper deck and some its lower deck. The occupants of the lower deck would have to go to the upper deck to have access to the water. If they said, why don’t we drill a hole in our part (to directly access the water) and do not cause any inconvenience to those above us. If those on the upper deck let them do what they wanted then all of the passengers would sink. However, if they prevented them from doing so then all would be saved”.

And the delegation made clear to the Sheikh Al-‘Arab, in his consideration as a leader whose words are heard and highly regarded, the dangers of stirring tribalistic pride and its prohibition in Islam. The delegation made him feel responsible for solving these problems so that it does not turn into a nasty dispute upon the basis of tribalism which will lead to the production of another Darfur situation.

So Sheikh Al-Arab said that he will expend all of his efforts to solve this problem and he will never leave a door open for a Muslim to be killed except that he will block it. He also thanked the Hizb for its initiative and its concern with the issues of the Ummah and the region and said: If only everyone strove for that.
