Feeble Attempt to Tarnish the Image of Hizb ut Tahrir Cannot Save You from Your Downfall, O Hasina!

In the past few days, some media outlets have been publishing a blend of fabricated and craziest news fed to them by the government to falsely link Hizb ut Tahrir to the recent attack on a Hindu teacher of Madaripur district. According to these reports, Superintendent of Police of Madaripur district told the media that Golam Faizullah Fahim, one of the attackers who badly injured the Hindu college teacher on Wednesday (15/06/16), had admitted that he was a member of Hizb ut Tahrir. Detective Branch (DB) of Bangladesh Police also stated that they found connection (!!) between Fahim and Hizb ut Tahrir, but very conveniently no further information about the alleged connection has been shared by the police. The role of some lying media outlets in reporting this clearly fake and prepackaged news of the government exposes that they are knowingly pushing government’s false propaganda about the righteous political party Hizb ut Tahrir by disseminating this as news. Over and over again it is being proven that there is no such thing as “objective journalism”, rather what we observe is an unashamed case of “media management” by the tyrant Hasina government to promote its smear tactics against this courageous political party. It is now evident that after being repeatedly failed to curb Hizb ut Tahrir even after the unlawful banning on it in 2009, Hasina’s evil regime will now resort to ‘media control’ to brainwash the public with absurd ‘Hizb ut Tahrir and militancy’ narrative.

Hizb ut Tahrir strongly condemns this heinous attempt of media and government to tarnish the image of the party, which is already well-known to the public for its commitment to non-violent intellectual and political struggle. We loudly tell Hasina that once again your desperate and feeble attempt to tackle us will go in vain because the hatred and alienation of Ummah towards your regime is by every measure accounted for with equal love and trust of Ummah towards Hizb ut Tahrir. No matter how low you stoop to defame us or brutal you turn out to be, we will always remain valiant against your or any other western-backed regime till the establishment of the second righteous Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood.
