Press Release: Khilafah is an Obligation in Islam: Banning the Word ‘Khilafah’ will Not Prevent Its Return
Pakistan’s security agencies have asked the leaders of an Islamic organization “Tanzeem-e-Islami,” founded by the late and respected Dr. Israar Ahmed, may Allah (swt) have mercy on him, to change its slogan regarding the establishment of “Caliphate” in Pakistan, which reads, “”The message of Tanzeem-e-Islami is establishment of Caliphate in Pakistan.” Talking to The Nation Newspaper on 7 January 2016, an intelligence official confirmed the regime had fears is that a banned outfit was backing the campaign by the Islamist organization “Tanzeem-e-Islami”, to establish a Caliphate (Khilafah) in Pakistan. He added that no trace has yet been found of any underground influence on the organization, except for its controversial slogan. “We have ordered the leadership of Tanzeem-e-Islami to change their slogan as it is creating doubts among people as well as in the security agencies,” he added.
How far will these wretched rulers go? Today they are censoring slogans for Khilafah under the “National Action Plan,” but what of the many noble ahadith about the Khilafah? What of the illustrious history of the Khulafah Rashidoon? Indeed, the Americans have the regime chasing its tail to the point that it has become an object of ridicule. Hizb ut Tahrir says to the bankrupt regime in its deepening misery, “Say it out loud, say it in the open, draw the ideological battle lines clearly so that the people may clearly see your evil.” However it never will, because the regime knows that if the people were given a choice between Islam and secularism, between choosing their Deen or bowing before its master America, they will always embrace Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw). This knowledge should compel the current rulers to realize that they have lost the battle and the least penance due from them is to stand to the side to make way for the Ummah in its surge for the Khilafah. Had they only minds to think!
Khilafah is not a controversial slogan. Far Far from it. It is from one of the greatest obligations of the Deen, a system with which Muslims tasted might and glory for centuries. Hizb ut Tahrir asserts clearly and unambiguously, that Islam’s ruling system is the Khilafah. The noble Ahadith of the Prophet (saw) have mentioned Khilafah as a system of Islam, a system which he (saw) ordered the Muslims to follow, of which but one example is his Hadeeth,
«كَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ تَسُوسُهُمْ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ كُلَّمَا هَلَكَ نَبِيٌّ خَلَفَهُ نَبِيٌّ وَإِنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَسَتَكُونُ خُلَفَاءُ تَكْثُرُ» قَالُوا: فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ قَالَ: «فُوا بِبَيْعَةِ الْأَوَّلِ فَالْأَوَّلِ وَأَعْطُوهُمْ حَقَّهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَائِلُهُمْ عَمَّا اسْتَرْعَاهُمْ»
“The affairs of Bani Isra’eel were looked after by the Prophets. After each Prophet died, he was succeeded by another Prophet. There is no Prophet after me, but there will be Khulaf’aa.” They asked, “What do you order us to do?” He replied, “Give them bay’ah one after another, for Allah will ask them about what He entrusted them with.” (Muslim)
Hizb ut Tahrir calls to all the Muslims to defy the regime and its filthy “National Action Plan” openly and clearly. It calls upon the Ulema, Islamic organizations and political parties to all stand and proclaim Islam and its ruling system, the Khilafah before the people. This time is the time of the Muslims and the increased tyranny against them is a sign that victory is imminent. As for the rulers, their time is up and all they have left is thuggery which only exposes them further. And may Allah rid us of these wretched rulers soon, with the sincere of the men of power in the armed forces granting Nussrah for the establishment of Khilafah on the method of Prophethood.
