The Government of Jazira Province Prevent Hizb ut Tahrir from Holding a Political Seminar Regarding the Jazira Project

On 27 December 2015, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan had informed the Wad Medani local police in Jazira Province of its intention to hold a Political Seminar in Al Moulid Square on 9/1/2016, regarding the Jazira Project. On 31/12/2015, the police responded with verbal rejection, and after discussion, they advised us to meet with the Mayor of Wad Madani. The meeting was arranged for Monday 4th January 2016, and after waiting for more than two hours in the local Province’s reception, it turned out that the Mayor did not come to his office, so the head of Hizb ut Tahrir’s delegate asked for the Mayor’s contact phone number, and called him, and after the discussion, the Mayor said: “The seminar cannot be held in the square, nor in a hall, but it can only be held in the Hizb’s headquarters, and that he is an executive authority.”
We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan are not surprised by such behavior, it is normal for the regime to not respect its own constitution, which guarantees the right of political practice, but it does not even respect the Presidential Decree No. (158) on the organization of party activities, which was released in the year 2014, as stated in paragraph (2): “Political parties have the right to hold and organize seminars and public meetings in squares and public places” and, in paragraph (3) as follows: “In addition to paragraph (2), an approval from the competent authority must be obtained in sufficient time, at least 48 hours before, for the purposes of security, protection and regulation of traffic.”
Despite the clarity of decision and what is stated in paragraph (2), there was a rejection by the authorities; that do not have the right to prevent, according to paragraph (3), but its role is in security and protection of the event, and this confirms what we have been emphasizing in our publications and statements, that there is no credibility to this regime, which claims to conduct dialogue with others and is transparent and does not stop any one!
Preventing Hizb ut Tahrir from holding seminars will not stop it from showing the truth to the people, and exposing the lies of this regime, and working for the establishment of a system that does not lie to its citizens, but sees to their comfort, and the establishment of justice, through the methodology of the Lord of the Worlds, through the second righteous Khilafah state (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood, that is coming soon, Allah willing,
وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُونَ
“And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned” [Ash-Shu’ara: 227]
