7 Tahrir men on 2-day remand
Metropolitan Magistrate Anwar Sadat passed the order after Sub-Inspector Kamruzzaman Biswas of the Mohammadpur Police Station, also the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, produced them before him with a three-day remand prayer.
After hearing, the court also rejected the bail appeals of the accused, General Recording Officer of the court Sub-Inspector Mizanur Rahman told bdnews24.com.
In the remand appeal, the IO said the accused were involved in anti-state activities and created panic across the country.
“So, they need to be remanded to know vital clues to the incidents,” he said.
The accused are Mahmud Hasan alias Robin (20), Tareq Saifullah alias Tareq (18), Nur Mohammad Khoka (20), Safayat Jamil alias Sohagh (22), Fahad Hossain Kayum alias Dipro (22), Shadat Haque Munna (22) and Asraful Karim Rakib (25).
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) had arrested the seven from different areas of the city on Saturday night and Sunday.
