Bangladesh Embassy demonstration demands release of Mohiuddin Ahmed
Mujibul Islam explained that the puppet Awami League government was implementing US and Indian policies in Bangladesh such as handing over the control of the Chittagong Port to the US, giving India Corridor through Bangladesh, giving trade supremacy to the US by signing TIFA treaty, giving control and influence over BD military through establishing joint exercises with the US Military/Navy and allowing the US to establish a Naval base in the Bay of Bengal. Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh protested against the implementation of all of these plans. It is for these reasons the Awami government banned the party and placed Mohiuddin Ahmed under house arrest.
Taji Mustafa, in his speech explained that the US in the name of ‘war on terror’ is actually waging a vicious war against Islam and the Muslims. It is leading a campaign of creating chaos in order to destabilise Muslim countries, especially in South Asia. This can be clearly seen from its invasion of Afghanistan and the terror it is currently creating in Pakistan. The US fears the rise of Islam and the establishment of the Khilafah (Islamic State) hence it is actively working to shape this region, with the aid of puppet rulers, according to her plan.
Both speakers concluded by demanding the immediate release of Mohiuddin Ahmed and the withdrawal of the banning order on Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh, and urged the people to work with Hizb ut-Tahrir in resisting the Awami-US-India plan for Bangladesh.
Finally, a delegation from the party went and handed a letter to the high commissioner condemning the house arrest of Mohiuddin Ahmed and the banning of Hizb ut-Tahrir, and demanded his immediate release and the reversal of the banning order. The delegation consisted of Mujibul Islam, Taji Mustafa, and Solicitor Abdul Kuddus.
