The Government Is Impassive in its Transgression and Seeks to Please the International Monetary Fund at the Expense of People’s Food
(Translated)
The Central Bank of Sudan issued on 23/06/2015 CE a circular that ordered the modifying of the exchange rate to import wheat used in making bread from 2.9 pounds to the dollar to 4 pounds to the dollar, this is in anticipation to the visit of the IMF delegation to Sudan. Finance Minister Badr Al-Din Mahmoud, when meeting the IMF delegation, confirmed the continuation of the economic reform policies pursued by the State; which is going too far in the implementation of the prescription of the International Monetary Fund.
In contrast, the International Monetary Fund described the performance of the Sudanese economy for 2014 and the first quarter of this year as excellent, despite the challenges and difficulties facing it.
Raising the exchange rate to import wheat from 2.9 pounds to the dollar to four pounds to the dollar shows the reality of the government’s policies in grinding the people; which is described falsely as reforms, and in fact, they are only seeking to obtain satisfaction of the International Monetary Fund, which its main concern is looting the country’s wealth to cover its exorbitant required interest by the colonial greedy capitalist countries, with its cravings never satisfied by sucking the blood of the people through this fund and others.
The government also does not care if the rising prices grind the people as a result of the prescriptions of the International Monetary Fund, it has already applied the Fund’s request to increase fuel prices at the expense of the blood of people who came out to the street after they had enough, and life became a living hell.
This regime is not sufficed by the suffering of the people in strangled living which led some people to eat dry plain bread, which they want to increase its price, and to lessen its weight, it is obvious when raising the price of wheat it will increase the price of bread, the equation does not need ingenuity, the people are promised in future days with added new suffering to their suffering under a regime that cares only for the ruling chairs, the Prophet (saw) said:
»اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ وَلِيَ مِنْ أَمْرِ أُمَّتِي شَيْئًا فَشَقَّ عَلَيْهِمْ فَاشْقُقْ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ وَلِيَ مِنْ أَمْرِ أُمَّتِي شَيْئًا فَرَفَقَ بِهِمْ فَارْفُقْ بِهِ«
“O Allah if a guardian is in charge of a matter of my Ummah and makes it difficult for them, then make matters difficult for him, and if a guardian is in charge of a matter of my Ummah and makes it easy for them, then make matters easy for him”
We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan warn this regime which is impassive in its transgression of the consequences of seeking to please the International Monetary Fund at the expense of the people’s food, Allah waits but does not neglect (His punishment): Fear Allah on the people, instead of turning your faces in the direction of the International Monetary Fund, turn your faces towards the Shariah Laws of Allah, in them you will find your benefit and the good of the Ummah, but if you do not obey Allah, then fear the day that will come soon, when the Khaleefah of the Muslims will account you for your tyranny of the servants of Allah (swt) and for ruling by other than what Allah has revealed, and for surrendering the wealth of the country and its resources and the food of its people to the Kuffar, and remember the day when you stand between the hands of Al Jabbar (the Almighty) for your punishment.
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لا يَنْفَعُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
“So that Day, their excuse will not benefit those who wronged, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah]” [Ar-Rum: 57]
