We Reject the Subjugation of the Security Forces and Military Personnel to Foreign Questioning and Interrogation

We in the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Tunisia categorically reject the subjugation of the security and military personnel in Tunisia to any investigation or questioning from outside foreign directions and even if errors, transgressions and crimes can be found in those in positions of responsibility. This is regardless of the size of the investigation and its type and we likewise reject any foreign interference in any affair from the affairs of the land and even if the matter relates only to one single person.

We also find the lenience in this matter to represent a great betrayal and crime against the Ummah and the land whilst it is essential to hold to account those who have brought Tunisia to this level of indignity and conspiracy against two sensitive areas that are meant to represent the sovereignty.

In this respect we demand from the government to present an explicit answer in regards to what Amnesty International reported when it stated that Tunisia was one of the three African countries that had provided the American intelligence services with sensitive personal information of its citizens and we say to the authority, government and presidency to fear Allah in respect to the land and the servants.

Finally we invite all honourable people of Tunisia to assume an honourable position and stance in respect to this matter otherwise history will record that we were accomplices though silence or false witnesses upon a new colonization. May Allah forbid this.
