Welcoming Ramadan 1436 AH
“Marhaban, Ya Ramadhan: Uphold Sharia and the Caliphate, and End All Disobedience”
Marhaban ya Ramadhan, Welcome ya Ramadhan. Soon the month of Ramadan 1436 AH will be upon us. Blessed month, in which there is a night whose worth is better than thousand of months. It is also a month that Allah (swt) has made fasting obligatory and Ramadan night prayers as tathawwu ‘.
Ramadan is a month which begins with mercy, its middle is forgiveness and its end is redemption from the torment of the Fire. Whoever eases the burden of his assistant, they willl be forgiven and freed from hell by the mercy of Allah.
Ramadan is a month of devotion and Muraqabah. During the month of Ramadan, all Muslims are required to suppress hunger and thirst, and to restrain themselves by avoiding activities that nullify the fast in order to obey God. Taqwa is the highest outcome of observing fasting in the month of Ramadan. Our manifestation of taqwa as individuals is to commit ourselves to carry out all the commands of Allah and avoid His prohibitions. Collectively, our taqwa shall be shown in our commitment to apply Islamic Sharia in its entirety, a kaffah way, in all aspects of society and state under the shadow of the new order of Caliphate. All the gained rewards during the month of Ramadan would be less meaningful if it is not followed up by implementation of Sharia, because that’s the true form of pure devotion.
With regard to the arrival of Ramadan 1436 AH, Hizb ut Tahrir Indonesia would like to convey warm messages
1. To remind all Muslims to observe the Ramadan fasting with utmost sincerity, based on faith and pure intention of seeking the pleasure of Allah (swt) and achieve the ultimate outcome of fasting, i.e taqwa or piety. Muslims are also obliged to engage in activities that can strengthen our faith and adherence to Sharia.
2. Moreover, Muslims should be more active and mindful in the struggle to uphold Sharia and to reinstate the Caliphate in the Islamic world. Restoration of a caliphate that applies sharia comprehensively will resume Islamic way of life, secure Honor and Dignity of Muslims, and spread mercy for all creatures (rahmatan lil’alamin).
3. On the other hand, all forms of evils, including various entertainment venues displaying acts of disobedience must be put to an end. Immoral acts, such as corruption, bribery, adultery, tyranny and so on; including actions and attitudes ignoring the commands and prohibitions of Allah as outlined in His Sharia must end. Ending immorality is NOT just during Ramadan, but also beyond Ramadan. Therefore, evil deeds and venues should not exist, let alone in a country that is predominantly Muslim.
