Perebutan Kuasa di Negeri Sembilan: Rakyat Sekali Lagi Menjadi Mangsa Penipuan Demokrasi dan Kerakusan Politikusnya
Bermula dengan krisis pemecatan salah seorang Undang oleh Yang di-Pertuan Besar (YDPB) Negeri Sembilan, dan kemudian kesemua empat orang Undang bertindak memecat pula YDPB, kemudian Menteri Besar Negeri Sembilan masuk campur dan menyatakan bahawa pemecatan YDPB adalah tidak sah, kemudian keempat-empat orang Undang tersebut membalas bahawa Menteri Besar Negeri Sembilan telah berbohong dan tidak layak mentadbir negeri, akhirnya krisis berlanjut kepada 14 orang Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) daripada UMNO mengumumkan hilang kepercayaan kepada Menteri Besar.
Melihat kemelut yang berlaku, lima orang ADUN pembangkang dari Perikatan Nasional (PN) tanpa ragu dan tanpa lengah, terus mengisytiharkan sokongan kepada UMNO, lalu UMNO pula terus mengambil kesempatan mengisytiharkan bahawa ia mempunyai majoriti mudah untuk mengambil alih pemerintahan negeri dan jawatan Menteri Besar. Alangkah tepat masanya, walaupun buat masa ini masih belum tahu siapakah pemenangnya!
Sejarah politik di Malaysia telah menyaksikan banyak kejadian lompat parti, tukar sokongan, tukar gabungan dan hilang kepercayaan yang dilakukan sama ada oleh ahli-ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri mahu pun ahli-ahli Parlimen. Semuanya bukan berlaku kebetulan, tetapi perancangan hasil kerakusan dan wujudnya peluang untuk melakukan pertukaran kerajaan melalui “pintu belakang”. Seawal tahun 1994, Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) yang telah memenangi Pilihan Raya Negeri (PRN) dengan majoriti tipis (25 daripada 48 kerusi), tumbang hanya selepas beberapa minggu berkuasa, apabila beberapa ADUN PBS bertindak keluar parti dan menyokong Barisan Nasional (BN). BN kemudiannya mengambil alih kerajaan negeri Sabah.
Pada tahun 2009, berlaku kejadian politik paling tragis di Perak apabila tiga orang ADUN Pakatan Rakyat (dua dari PKR, satu dari DAP) mengisytiharkan keluar parti dan menjadi ADUN Bebas yang menyokong BN. Ini menyebabkan komposisi kerusi menjadi seimbang (28 BN + 3 Bebas vs 28 PR). Sultan Perak ketika itu, Sultan Azlan Shah, menolak permintaan Menteri Besar (Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin) untuk membubarkan DUN, dan sebaliknya melantik Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir daripada BN sebagai Menteri Besar baru.
Tragedi terbesar yang semua orang tahu telah “mencemarkan” demokrasi di Malaysia belaku pada tahun 2020 melalui “Langkah Sheraton” yang menyaksikan tumbangnya kerajaan Pakatan Harapan (PH) di peringkat pusat dan diganti dengan Perikatan Nasional (PN). Menyusul selepas itu beberapa negeri di Malaysia yang turut tumbang hasil jalan belakang yang sama. Lucunya, pihak yang berjaya “merampas kuasa” menyifatkan tindakan ini sebagai demokratik, manakala pihak yang kehilangan kuasa menyifatkannya tidak demokratik:
- Kerajaan PH Johor tumbang apabila Bersatu keluar daripada gabungan PH dan bekerjasama dengan BN serta PAS untuk membentuk kerajaan baru di bawah pimpinan Datuk Hasni Mohammad.
- Kerajaan PH Melaka tumbang selepas dua ADUN Bersatu dan dua ADUN (dari PKR dan DAP) mengalihkan sokongan kepada BN.
- Di Perak, kerajaan di bawah Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (Bersatu) yang asalnya bersama PH jatuh, namun beliau dilantik semula sebagai Menteri Besar di bawah gabungan baru (Perikatan Nasional) sebelum akhirnya dijatuhkan semula melalui undi percaya pada Disember 2020.
- Di Kedah, kerajaan pimpinan Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir jatuh pada Mei 2020 selepas dua ADUN PKR keluar parti dan menyokong Perikatan Nasional, menyebabkan pelantikan Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor sebagai MB baru.
Tragedi di Negeri Sembilan kali ini menyerupai apa yang berlaku di Melaka pada tahun 2021 apabila krisis berlaku di dalam blok yang memerintah sendiri. Empat orang ADUN (termasuk dari UMNO dan Bersatu) menarik balik sokongan terhadap Ketua Menteri Melaka ketika itu, Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali, atas alasan hilang kepercayaan terhadap kepimpinan beliau. Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka bersetuju membubarkan DUN atas nasihat Ketua Menteri, yang membawa kepada Pilihan Raya Negeri (PRN) Melaka pada November 2021.
Dalam setiap kejadian, terdapat satu kenyataan yang sama dikeluarkan oleh kesemua mereka yang terlibat dalam perebutan politik tersebut iaitu mereka ingin menyelesaikan segera kemelut tersebut demi kepentingan rakyat. Itulah skrip basi politikus demokrasi sejak dulu iaitu mengutamakan rakyat dalam setiap masalah yang mereka timbulkan sendiri, yang jelas-jelas merekalah dalangnya. Demikianlah cara mereka memperbodohkan rakyat melalui perebutan kuasa sesama mereka. Setelah jelas mengkhianati undi rakyat ke atas mereka, lalu mereka katakan bahawa kepentingan rakyat adalah keutamaan mereka!
Wahai kaum Muslimin! Sedarlah bahawa ini semua merupakan “permainan kuasa” oleh parti-parti politik dalam sistem demokrasi demi kepentingan mereka semata-mata. Ketamakan kuasa politikus demokrasi memang tidak ada batas, sehinggalah mereka kembali ke tanah! Merekalah yang sebenarnya telah membawa keburukan kepada negara ini, dan kesusahan kepada kita semua. Objektif mereka hanyalah untuk berkuasa kerana dengan kuasalah mereka dapat mengecapi segala kemewahan dan mengaut sebanyak mungkin kekayaan negara ke dalam poket-poket mereka. Sama ada kuasa itu diperolehi daripada pintu depan atau pintu belakang, semua itu tidak penting.
Mereka-lah orangnya yang mengekalkan sistem demokrasi warisan penjajah di negara ini, yang meletakkan perlembagaan buatan manusia lebih tinggi daripada Al-Quran dan As-Sunnah. Sungguh, tidak ada kebaikan pada mana-mana negara yang menjadikan perlembagaan mereka – lebih-lebih lagi perlembagaan ciptaan kafir penjajah – lebih tinggi daripada Al-Quran dan As-Sunnah!
Selagi sistem demokrasi terus mendominasi umat Islam, maka selagi itulah umat ini akan terus ditipu dan dipermainkan oleh para politikusnya. Dalam demokrasi, umat Islam menjadi tidak lebih umpama bidak-bidak catur yang akan dikorbankan dengan mudah oleh mereka yang berkuasa. Umat Islam harus sedar bahawa inilah dua punca utama malapetaka yang menimpa mereka iaitu sistem yang buruk dan pemimpin yang buruk. Sudah banyak kali – bukan hanya dua kali sebagaimana dilarang oleh Rasulullah (saw) – umat ini dipatuk dari lubang yang sama. Maka seharusnya umat menyatakannya cukup! Umat Islam wajib berusaha untuk keluar daripada malapetaka ini, dengan menggantikan sistem dan pemimpin yang buruk dengan sistem yang baik dan pemimpin yang baik – seorang Khalifah yang memimpin di bawah sistem Khilafah. Khilafah kali kedua yang bakal berdiri tidak lama lagi ialah satu-satunya negara yang dijanjikan oleh Allah dan Rasul-Nya, yang insya Allah akan dilimpahi kebaikan kerana ia akan berjalan di atas jalan kenabian, sebagaimana Khulafa’ ar-Rasyidin dahulunya yang berjalan di atas jalan yang sama.

Power Struggle in Negeri Sembilan: The People Once Again Become Victims of Democratic Deception and the Greed of Politicians
The crisis started with the dismissal of one of the Undangs (territorial chiefs of the state of Negeri Sembilan) by the Yang di-Pertuan Besar (YDPB) of Negeri Sembilan (the ruler of the Negeri Sembilan state), which was then followed by the collective action of four Undangs dismissing the YDPB. Subsequently, the Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan intervened, declaring that the dismissal of the YDPB was invalid. The four Undangs then retaliated by stating that the Chief Minister had lied and was unfit to govern the state. Ultimately, the crisis escalated to 14 Members of the State Legislative Assembly (ADUN) from UMNO declaring a loss of confidence in the Chief Minister.
Observing the unfolding crisis, five opposition assemblymen from the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition without hesitation and delay, immediately declared their support for UMNO. UMNO, in turn, capitalized on the situation by declaring that it possessed a simple majority to seize the state administration and the position of Menteri Besar (Chief Minister). What a perfect timing, although at this juncture, the victor has yet to be determined!
The political history of Malaysia has witnessed numerous incidents of party hopping, shifting allegiances, changing coalitions, and declarations of lost confidence committed by either state assemblymen or Members of Parliament. None of these occurred by chance; rather, they were orchestrated as a result of greed and the availability of opportunities to change the government through the “backdoor.” As early as 1994, Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), which had won the State Election with a slim majority (25 out of 48 seats), collapsed after only a few weeks in power when several PBS assemblymen defected to support Barisan Nasional (BN). BN subsequently took over the Sabah state government.
In 2009, the most tragic political event occurred in Perak when three Pakatan Rakyat assemblymen [two from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), one from Democratic Action Party (DAP)] declared their departure from their respective parties to become independent assemblymen supporting BN. This resulted in a balanced seat composition [28 BN + 3 Independents vs. 28 Pakatan Rakyat (PR)]. The then Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah, rejected the request of the Chief Minister (Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin) to dissolve the State Legislative Assembly, and instead appointed Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir from BN as the new Chief Minister.
The greatest tragedy, widely acknowledged to have “tarnished” democracy in Malaysia, occurred in 2020 through the “Sheraton Move,” which saw the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government at the federal level and its replacement by PN. Following this, several states in Malaysia also collapsed as a result of the same backdoor manoeuvres. Ironically, the factions that successfully “seized power” characterized these actions as democratic, while those who lost power labelled them undemocratic:
- The PH government in Johor collapsed when Bersatu left the PH coalition and collaborated with BN and Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS) to form a new government under the leadership of Datuk Hasni Mohammad.
- The PH government in Melaka fell after two Bersatu assemblymen and two other assemblymen (from PKR and DAP) shifted their support to BN.
- In Perak, the government under Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (Bersatu), initially aligned with PH, fell. However, he was reappointed as Chief Minister under a new coalition (PN) before ultimately being ousted again through a vote of confidence in December 2020.
- In Kedah, the government led by Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir fell in May 2020 after two PKR assemblymen left the party and supported PN, leading to the appointment of Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor as the new Chief Minister.
The current tragedy in Negeri Sembilan mirrors what occurred in Melaka in 2021 when a crisis erupted within the ruling bloc itself. Four assemblymen (including those from UMNO and Bersatu) withdrew their support for the then Chief Minister of Melaka, Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali, citing a loss of confidence in his leadership. The Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Melaka agreed to dissolve the State Assembly on the advice of the Chief Minister, which paved the way for the Melaka State Election in November 2021.
In every such incident, identical statements were issued by all those involved in the political struggle: they claim to want to swiftly resolve the crisis for the sake of the people’s interests. This is the stale script of democratic politicians since time immemorial prioritizing the people in every problem they themselves create, wherein they are clearly the masterminds. Such is their method of making fools of the people through their internecine power struggles. After clearly betraying the votes entrusted to them by the people, they then proclaim that the people’s interests are their priority!
O Muslims! Realize that all of this is merely a “game of power” played by political parties within the democratic system solely for their own vested interests. The greed for power among democratic politicians knows no bounds, persisting until they return to the soil! They are the ones who have truly brought ruin to this country and hardship to us all. Their sole objective is to be in power, for it is through power that they can savour all luxuries and amass as much of the country’s wealth as possible into their own pockets. Whether that power is acquired through the front door or the back door is entirely inconsequential.
They are the ones perpetuating the colonial-inherited democratic system in this country, elevating the man-made constitution above the Al-Quran and the As-Sunnah. Truly, there is no good in any nation that places its constitution – much less a constitution created by colonial disbelievers – higher than the Al-Quran and the As-Sunnah!
As long as the democratic system continues to dominate, the Ummah will continue to be deceived and manipulated by its politicians. In democracy, Muslims are merely treated as chess pawns, easily sacrificed by those in power. The Muslim Ummah must realize that these are the two root causes of the catastrophes befalling them i.e. a corrupt system and corrupt rulers. It has happened many times – not just twice as prohibited by Rasulullah (saw) – that this Ummah been bitten from the same hole. Therefore, the Ummah must definitively declare that enough is enough! It is obligatory for Muslims to strive to extricate themselves from this catastrophe by replacing the corrupt system and rulers with a righteous system and righteous ruler – a Caliph (Khalifah) who leads under the Caliphate (Khilafah) system. The forthcoming second Caliphate is the only state promised by Allah and His Messenger, which, Insha Allah, shall be bestowed with abundant blessings, as it will run upon the methodology of the Prophethood, just as the Rightly Guided Caliphs of the past ran upon the same path.
