Deception and Fact Distortion are the Jordanian Regime’s Method in Dealing with its Citizens

The Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs in the government of the Jordanian regime, said that there is not one political prisoner in Jordanian prisons… and said that all parties are participating in the elections and there is no political boycott for the upcoming elections.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Jordan demonstrate the following regarding this allegation and deception:

The claim of purity and chastity by the one who is trying to erase the effects of his vices, does not change the fact of his commission of crimes, and this claim by the Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Musa Maaytah, that Jordanian prisons are free from political detainees, is but part of a series of deception and concealment of facts practiced by the regime and the government on the people in Jordan. Indeed, the number of detained members of Hizb ut Tahrir who are being tried before the courts have reached 26 due to their membership in the party, their proclaiming the word of truth, practicing political actions, presenting the Islamic ruling on the crucial issues of the Ummah, demonstrating what the Muslim Ummah is going through of military attacks, and the fierce attacks against Islam by the enemies of Allah and His Messenger of the Kuffar and their lackeys the seculars in our lands, and accounting the regime a political and legitimate accountability for its failure against Islam and the Ummah.

The financial guarantees granted for the release of the detained members of the Hizb in prisons have ranged from 5000 to 100,000 dinars, after the administrative rulers practiced their tyranny, oppression and harm against the honorable and pure sons of our country, the members of Hizb ut Tahrir by imposing residencies arrest on them, using the Crime Prevention Act, and are still being tried before the courts, unlike the claims of the Minister for Political and Parliamentary Affairs in the regime’s government. As for what he says that all political parties are participating in the elections, it is a completely false allegation.

The position of Hizb ut Tahrir that rejects parliamentary elections on the basis of democracy, separation of religion from life, rule of the people for the people and exercising legislation which should exclusively be for Allah Almighty

إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلاَّ لِلّهِ

“The Rule is for None but Allah” [TMQ 6:57],

is a well-known and famous position of the party, known far and wide by politicians and non-political people. Rather, Hizb ut Tahrir is leading an intensive communications campaign under the banner “Boycotted Legislation for other than what Allah has Revealed”, in order for Muslims to boycott the elections on a legitimate (Islamic) basis of, rejecting and criminalizing the deputies’ legislation, and to urge whoever insisted on his candidacy for the election to not take part in legislating and to be biased to Islam and the Ummah’s affairs in the face of the enemies of the Deen and the Ummah of prevailing political forces and the secular forces who are hanging onto the hands of the forces of Kufr and tyranny and the agents of the colonial powers who are greedy to our lands and malevolent to our Islam, conspiring against our present and our future.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Jordan call upon Muslims in the land of mobilization and firmness to not allow the regime in Jordan to bite them from the same hole of the House of Representatives once again above the times that have passed, for indeed, the situation of this Ummah will not be rectified except by that which rectified its first part; the establishment of the law of Allah Almighty in the Khilafah State (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood; wherein your salvation and in which is your pride and your return to the forefront of all nations.
