With the benevolence of Allah (swt) and the struggle of the Muslims and the attendance, the successfully organized conference by Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Turkey under the title “The Presidential Democratic Model or The Righteous Khilafah?” during the week of Khilafah stretching from the 3rd until the 10th of March.
The conference was held on the anniversary of the abolition of the Khilafah on March 3rd, and in Istanbul the last centre of Khilafah. It has a significant impact in a time where there is great debate about the frenzied presidential system. For this reason, the conference held the attention of several media outlets, both on a local and national level prior to its commencement.
The conference received a wide reception both nationally and internationally, and the conference hall was fully packed, to the extent that it was unable to accommodate the huge number of attendees from entering the hall, so they had to follow the conference from the lobby outside the hall.
After the beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran, the conference commenced with a special speech where the Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, the distinguished scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu Rashtah, addressed the conference. The following is an excerpt by the honorable Ameer,
“…the true Khilafah is not unknown. It is a distinctive system demonstrated by the Messenger of Allah (saw) followed by the guided Khulafaa after him. The Khilafah is not an empire nor a monarchy, it is not a presidential or parliamentary republic, nor a dictatorship or democracy, not following Allah’s legislation, nor any kind of man-made systems, but it is the Khilafah of Justice, and its rulers are Khulafaa, imams, people fight behind them and are protected by them … It is a Khilafah that protects the blood, safeguards the honour and preserves the wealth, and fulfills contracts of protection for Dhimma and takes the bayah willingly and by choice not by oppression and coercion, people migrate safely to it, they do not flee it in panic …”
Then came speeches of salutations and emphasis of the significance of the Khilafah and the necessity of its return on behalf of the guests participating in the conference, and they were: Chairman of İLKAV – Mehmet Pamak, Chairman of Mazlum-Der – Cüneyt Sarıyaşar, Chairman of İmkân-Der – Murat Özer, Chairman of Kalem Der – Ahmet Kalkan and member of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Uzbekistan Islam Abu Khalil.
The following also spoke at the conference:
Mahmut Kar, Head of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Turkey, and from Egypt, Engineer Sharif Zayed Head of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Egypt, and Mohammad Hanafi Yaghmur Deputy to the Head of the Central Contacts Committee of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Turkey, and from Lebanon Professor Ahmad Al Qassas Head of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Lebanon. Dr Iyad Qunaiby from Jordan delivered his speech televised due to a ban imposed from leaving Jordan.
We in Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Turkey thank every one of our guests who participated from near and far, and accepted our invitation, and to everyone who did not have the opportunity to attend but supported us with dua’, and to all Muslims who struggle for the sake of the return of the righteous Khilafah on the method of the Prophethood.
And today we look yearning from Askudar to the Topkapi Palace reading from the poem “The flag will arise from where it has fallen”, and we count the days so we can declare the righteous Khilafah on the method of the Prophethood.
