will hide behind what it claims “The Highest National Interest”!

In his ministerial address before the 18th parliament session on Thursday 16/11/2106, the Prime Minister, charged with heading the regime’s government in Jordan, Hani Al-Mulki expressed: “Verily, the government is honoured to present to you a comprehensive programme to confront the domestic and foreign challenges, to consolidate security and stability, strengthen the democratic path and hope for political reform, the realisation of sought-after economic progress upon the foundations of justice, integrity and transparency “relying upon the highest national interest as the main determiner for all of the polices and decisions that we will take”.
We in Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Jordan, in response to the ministerial statement and this statement, express: That which defines and determines the interest (Maslahah) of the land and its people is only our specific viewpoint as Muslims and that is the viewpoint of the Islamic Aqeedah and the Ahkam Ash-Shar’iah that emanate from it. What then are the highest interests of the land and the people that the regime’s government claims to be relying upon as the main determiner of all of the policies and decisions that it is taking, whilst they are in violation of the rulings of Islam in every matter; in ruling, economic, the social life and in respect to dealing with the Ummah’s issues, its capabilities, resources and the caretaking of the people’s affairs?!
Are not the regime and its consecutive governments those who consider democracy which is a system of Kufr (the rule of the people for the people) a highest interest for the land and its people? Is it not them who consider a treaty with the Jewish entity and the signing of the shameful and disgraceful Wadi Araba agreement in addition to the Bilateral Project Agreement for the implementation of the Red Sea and Dead Sea, the gas agreement, political coordination, and security and military cooperation with the Jewish entity, a highest interest? Is it not them who consider the economic transformation that is destroying the country, privatisation which makes the resources of the country and its public ownerships a possession of the enemies and the strategic partnership; is it not them who have considered that the highest interest? Is it not them who have considered and will continue to consider the submission and subservience to the World Bank and its directives which have emptied the pockets of the people, the highest interest? Was it not them who considered joining the international coalition under the US leadership, the highest interest? Is it not them who have considered the silencing of the mouths of the ‘Ulamaa, the Khateebs, hunting those working for the application of Islam and throwing them in prison, in the national interest …?!
O Muslims in Jordan: Verily, your interest and the interest of your land is not and will never be other than Islam and its systems emanating from its Aqeedah. Your interest and the interest of your land lies in the system of Islam that regulates your life’s affairs according to the Sharee’ah of your Lord. Your highest interest lies in the system of ruling in Islam, the Khilafah state (Caliphate) upon the methodology of the Prophethood, which will place Islam in the position of application and implementation. Your interest and the interest of your land lies in the economic system of Islam which contains the practical Shar’i solutions for all the problems and economic equations that have weighed heavily over our chests, emptied our pockets, stolen our resources and threatened our future, as a result of the application of the rotten capitalist system over us.
O Muslims in Jordan: Where does the ministerial statement of the regime’s government which presented programmes to attain the confidence of the parliament stand before the statement of Allah Ta’Aalaa:
وَأَنِ احْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّـهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ
“And rule between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their desires” [Al-Maa’idah: 49].
Or is the regime’s government and those who will give them (the vote of) confidence not know the Qawl of Allah Ta’Aalaa:
الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا
“Today I have completed your Deen for you and perfected by favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as a Deen” [Al-Ma’idah: 3].
And His Qawl Ta’Aalaa:
مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِي الْكِتَابِ مِن شَيْءٍ
“We have not neglected anything in the Book” [Al-An’aam: 38].
There is no confidence, O Muslims, given to those who do not rule by what Allah has revealed and there is no confidence given to those who push the Shar’a of Allah aside and rely upon the legislation of men and then rule by it.
أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّـهِ حُكْمًا لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ
“Then is it the judgement of [the time of] ignorance they desire? But who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who are certain [in belief]” [Al=Maa’idah: 50].
O Allah, we have conveyed. O Allah bear witness.
